hyde park is one of the largest parks in west london and one of the royal parks of london, famous for its speakers’ corner, holocaust memorial gardens, diana memorial garden. the park is divided in two by the serpentine and long water. the park is contiguous with kensington gardens. although often still assumed to be part of hyde park, kensington gardens has been technically separate since 1728. hyde park covers 142 hectares and kensington gardens covers 111 hectares, giving an overall area of 253 hectares. in the northeast corner is the marble triumphal arch and in the southeast corner is the wellington arch, which is famous for its speakers’ corner. as the historical symbol of british democracy, citizens can have any speech on national economy and the people’s livelihood. neither podium, nor lighting, the speakers will take the equipment by themselves. every sunday, speakers can share their opinions on various topics, such as views on some international problems, the religious and art preach and so on. every summer, there will held one activity of "concert without seats". there are no seats left for people. so the audience can listen to the band’s play in walk, or even dance with the beat of the music. hyde park is just like the sea of music when the concerts are held every year.
