neo bankside project, which is in london’s "cultural center", is located in the south side of thames, adjacent to tate modern. in the residential area, a series of garden landscape have been designed along the residence by rshp. influenced by the local woodland, the entire yard design line is clear, which shows the soft vegetation planting blueprint. the inspiration of the design comes from the nature: inside of neo bankside, the rich and interesting landscape and apartments enhance each other’s beauty, which achieves the perfect balance among the soft and beautiful nature, the exquisite architecture and the modern design. fully recognizing the effect of the outside space on improving the city life, stephen richards, the designer of neo bankside, creates the brand-new green space in the downtown. there are the natural lands-birches and alders. various original plants are grown in the woodland, and bees and birds are also brought into this land to enlarge the diversity of species. bees will be helpful for the pollination and the species reproduction. besides, the residents will take part in managing the fruit garden and herbs garden and enjoy the fragrance of the herbs. the trees make the shadow, which will be the protective screen of the noise. the diversified space inside and the growing will bring the comfortable life for the residents to enjoy the silent moment in the noisy city. the landscape designers collocates the plants smartly after studying the shadow of the architecture and the wind direction, which makes the garden full of beauty in the four seasons. the public silent garden is a perfect screen separated the private space from the public space. four buildings inside are different generations and various style, which includes city poorhouse. one challenge of the design is the soft landscape comprehensive problem, such as the soil depth, the cultivated area, the collocation of the trees and the irrigation system. the original plants inside the yard will be the bank of the plants, and their seeds will reproduce more original plants, which will encourage fully the diversity, the living space of the wild animals, the raindrop collection and irrigation. the beautiful landscape will provide the comfortable weather and the warmly space. the landscape has the concept of diversity of the biology on climate based on the localization.
