the sagrada família is antoni gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece. construction on this church will continue for at least another decade, but it has already become barcelona’s most important landmark. instead of sticking to the original plans, gaudí changes the design drastically. the neo-gothic style made way for gaudí’s trademark modernist style, which was based on forms found in nature. the church is made by three grand facades, nativity fa?ade, passion facade and glory facade, which symbolize the whole life of jesus christ; four towers in each fa?ade and total 12 towers and also another 6 tall towers; the design depicts various scenes such as hell, purgatory in bible. all kinds of monsters are curved on the fa?ade and four hallow towers are tall and reach to the sky, which like a giant anthill; the gospels in the shocking ceiling and colorful windows design inundate every visitors to feel the strong religious meanings.
