maxxi (national museum of the xxi century arts) with an area of 27000 m2 designed by architect master zaha hadid and located in suburban area of rome, is the first national museum of contemporary art in italy. there set the auditorium, library, studio, the scene activities and commercial space. as declared by zaha, the museum is ’not an object-container, but rather a campus for arts", the corridors and overpass overlap and connect each other to create a dynamic space full of vitality. the curved architecture design concept origins from the axis of the city crossing the site; the sculptural concrete volume is in harmony with its surroundings; the curved smooth walls dialogue with the neo-classical symmetrical facades. use steel and glass as main materials by clean and blind surfaces at the side, thus declaring the feasibility and the need of coexistence. the museum is well inserted in the urban block situation, taking from it its guidelines, and opening its cut-end wings as panoramic viewpoints.
