Alexanderplatz, located in the east of Berlin and the church, Town Hall, the TV Tower and the Station together, solemnly and stylishly, is the important transportation hub and commercial center in Berlin. The most compelling TV Tower in the plaza built in 1969 and with the height of 368 meters, like a giant upturned horn, is the tallest building in berlin; the world clock in the south designed by Erich John and the world friendship fountain built in 1969 is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the East Germany. The Berliner Dom Located at the west is a new baroque dome church built in 1750. The new Renaissance architecture, the Rotes Rathaus, or Red City Hall, built in 1869, is located nearby, as was the former East German parliament building. The Neptune Fountain in Berlin was built in 1891. The Roman god Neptune is in the center. The four women around him represent the four main rivers of Prussia: Elbe, Rhine, Vistula, and Oder.
