The Pavilion 21 MINI Opera Space by Coop Himmelb(l)au for the Munich Opera Festival 2010 covers an area of 1790 m2; the pavilion is 17 meters wide, 21 meters long and around 6 to 8 meters high with a maximum seat capacity of 300 only which can be removable, detachable and reassembled, showing the characteristics of the city by the change of the form. The designers have achieved a visually and acoustically pleasing lightweight structure through enhancing the visualizing properties of the tilted walls and enlarged surface area. The geometry of Pavilion is formed according to soundscaping. The designer analyses the frequency and rhythm from Jimi Hendrix song "Purple Hze" to Mozart’s "Don Giovanni" and made a 3d model with a computer to transfer the parameter into a pyramid of the cone with good acoustics, and visually appealing, and lightweight portable.
