The Wave in Vejle, Denmark designed by Henning Larsen Architects is a new unique housing that embraces the sculptural and organic forms to become a new landmark for the city which has won the prestigious LEAF Award, Residential Building of the Year 2010. The Wave in Vejle is situated in a magnificent location overlooking Vejle Fjord and the architecture beautifully relates to its surroundings. The Wave takes advantage of both its location and the views to create a beautiful connection between the fjord, landscape and town and consolidates the different elements in a clear and recognisable signature. During the day, the white “waves” are reflected in the fjord while, at night, they stand out as an undulating mountain landscape of color and light.
