the gran via conference centre located in a new business development area designed by japanese architect toyo ito is one of the largest and most modern venues in europe. the project concept follows the idea of "fluidity" space. the flowing space of pavilions is designed with elements reduced to human scale. the main wall surfaces use white "organic walls" to define different pavilions. architects hope to bring ’’fluid spaces’’ into the large and homogenic exhibition space, so as to provide a refreshing experience. fira gran via exhibition centre on the west of the hotel features nine large pavilions, 45 restaurants and auditoriums, conference centers etc., and all functions are connected by a pedestrian path. the projectis infused with green concepts. its roof installed solar photovoltaic system whose covering area is the largest in spain, ranking the sixth in the world. the project design maximizes the natural light and creates continuous and convenient interior space.
