DZ Bank

DZBank Building designed by American architect Frank Owen Gehry is located inPariser Platz and covers an area of 1220 m2; the calm and subdued appearance ofthe building present inside Gehry`s famous sculptural powers.​Atotal of nine skylights, facades and glass floors cluster around the building`satrium, all of them constructed according to the same principle, with glazedtriangular meshes of stainless steel profiles. The requested transparency ofthis freely-formed and with insulating glass-covered structure could only beachieved with a triangular grid shell structure. The entire structure is madeof stainless steel mullions 40 x 60 mm, screwed together with milled joints.This is sufficient for the load transfer that is almost free of bendingmoments, resulting in a roof that vaults with playful lightness the atrium ofthe DZ Bank.​
