Lecture | INVISIBLE CITIES Tour Successfully Completed
On Nov. 5th and 15th, Metrostudio President, CEO, Chief Designer Mr. Antonio Inglese was invited to give the lectures of THE INVISIBLE CITIES respectively in Chongqing Design Institute, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University and Guan Shanyue Art Museum. There were totally more than 500 people, including teachers, students, developers, have attended the lectures.

Firstly, Mr. Antonio Inglese quoted “Cities' fears” from INVISIBLE CITIES written by famous Italian author Italo Calvino; then through the cases of urban planning in Rome, Venice, Dubai, Shenzhen, and Italian seaside towns, told that the history and culture was the unique identity of the city and we should protect the old buildings and inherit the local history; he aslo shared two special projects in China, Shangdong Longkou planning and Guangxi Guming Village, in which designers tried to deeply understand the local culture and to rediscover the identity for the places.

Mr. Antonio Inglese humorous and professional lectures brought a round of applause. In the section of questions, he also answered how to use the rammed earth in the interior design and architecture design and also how to keep the special identity of the city. In the end, the audience took a group photo with the guests and the lecture ended successfully in a warm atmosphere.
