The plan of Dafen Village is just like an ink and water painting with the natural vein: the interpenetration between streets and building is just like one drop of ink dropping and diffusing in the water, which symbolizes the forming process of special culture and art in Dafen Village. Meanwhile we alsol consider how to connect the ink with the culture.
Dafen Village looks like one painting, into which the ink drops and colors blend in. The colors are spattered into every building and form various forms. These forms are not simple colors but the different materials, such as brick, wood, metal, steel, glass, cloth and so on. The ink permeates into the land, or even the buildings’ section, which will form one special shape. After the abstract treatment, it will evolve the unified ordered style for architectural sections. The design principles: firstly, to use the group of many materials for the pavement in the underground shops; secondly, above the shops, to use boldly colors in the residential section and the group redevelopment; thirdly, to keep the historic and special buildings.
