The project is located in Sun & Moon Island, Wanning City, Hainan province, north to Xinglong and Shimei Tourism Area, south to Qiexin nature conservation area and Xiangshui Bay, having the tropical marine climate and great development potentials with rich resources and convenient transportation. The upper planning is mainly themed in “leisure” and “Ocean”, “One Band & Two Zones” to create the international coastal resorts brand.
The overall planning is in the core of “Sun & Moon Leisure Island”, along the band of “Waterfront Public Space”, to set two axes connecingt the five zones of Surfing & Art Valley, Aroma & Beauty Valley, Medicine Valley, Golf Valley and Forest near Lake Valley, creating the international tourist resort. Combine with the resource of the central zone and the functions of the master plan, mainly in the theme of sports on the sea and health in mountain, tourism pulling the development of the local economy, to develop a high-end marine culture tourism resort.
Arrange reasonably “one center, one band and five groups” and the design is based on the spatial strategy of “develop the mountain, fill the sea and refine”. “Develop the mountain” is to integrate the resource of sea and mountain, to broaden the space of the resorts and to develop the health valley and recreation forest; “fill the sea” is to create the sun and moon island becoming the local landmark; “refine” the function of the coastal band and create the international surfing base in the basis of local unique resource and international tourism island.
